Supply Chain Manager (India)

Job Profile:
This specific position will provide direct management of Supply Chain activities in support of the India business unit. This includes chemical FG, equipment and support. The India business unit does not include a manufacturing operation and the typical Supply Chain organization that supports such a business unit.

Responsibilities:
Talent Development
Ø Selects, trains, develops, retains and manages associates in group in line with company's standards.
Ø .Ensures all key reporting positions have operational backups and an identified successor
Leadership
Ø Ensures that Logistics function executes in new product introductions and acquisition integrations.
Ø Ensures that Logistics network is in compliance with all internal and external standards and legislation.
Ø Assumes SHE & Quality responsibilities if these functions are not directly filled within the country organization.
Ø Establishes network TQM plans in line with Supply Chain strategy. Communicates and reinforces Logistics plans in group.
Ø Creates an environment in which employees can work safely.
Relationships
Ø Establishes and maintains clear communication and close co-operation with internal regional Management contacts (i.e. Divisions, R&D, Manufacturing, Purchasing, Controller) and external supplier contacts.
Ø Work with Manufacturing, Controller, Suppliers and Divisions to establish inventory & delivery service targets.
Ø Works with Quality, R&D, Divisions and Customers to proactively avoid and resolve quality and service issues relating to logistics.
Ø Provides formal and informal reporting on logistics performance.
Ø Networks in industry; is known externally as functional subject matter expert.
Innovation
Ø Directs Network redesign projects to improve performance and to meet customer needs. Guarantees effective implementation through direct reports.
Ø Manages existing fixed assets and implements approved CARs.
Ø Advises Management on logistics innovations that will improve performance and make logistics a competitive advantage.
Ø Generates and implements ideas that simplify processes & improve performance. Implements Lean concepts and practices.
Delivering Results
Ø Manages all functions of Logistics, including inventory planning, inventory control, warehousing, transportation, fleet operations, logistics planning, order processing and customer service. May be responsible for purchasing, quality, safety & compliance functions.
Ø Develops Logistics budget in network with focus on continuously improving year over year performance against metrics.
Ø Perform COG & sourcing analysis to determine most efficient supply chain.
Ø Implements standard logistics metrics and reporting through network.
Ø Ensures that all internal and external members of logistics network meet or exceed standards.
Ø Resolves quality, service and cost issues.
Ø Manages overall DOH to targets.
Ø Implements system to assess, select and manage third party logistics providers. Negotiates contracts.

Candidate Profile:
Required:
- University degree or equivalent in Business, Logistics, Transportation, Engineering, or related field.
- 5- 8 years of experience
- Must have significant experience in a high-sku logistics network.
- Knowledge of accounting & financial measurements of Logistics.
- Experience managing line positions.
- Strong Computer literacy and demonstrated use of technology to improve logistics performance.
Preferred:
- Advanced technical or business degree strongly preferred
- Experience in a related industry industry (food/ beverage, health and hygiene products, pharmaceuticals, etc.) and managing a chemical supply chain.
- Regulated production/GMP/ Medical device experience
- Experience in other related functional areas, including Accounting, Planning, Production,
- Purchasing, Quality, Engineering, Compliance, Regulatory and HR.
- Acquisition integration experience
- Experience in 6 Sigma, Lean, 5S
